We Are the Wildflowers |

by Beryl Simpson Wildflowers are beautiful, They brighten the world and bring pleasure to all who are near. They are self-seeding, returning season after season, a living testament to their stamina and will to endure. Caregivers are the wildflowers of the cancer world. We may look or feel fragile and delicate, but we rise to any occasion. When required, our strength is somehow there. Wildflowers can thrive a long time with little nourishment, water, or sunlight. When trampled by rain, wind, or footsteps, Wildflowers bounce back. Even when beaten down by disease, medical bills and helplessness, caregivers too bounce back to provide support for another day. Caregivers and wildflowers cost nothing but their value is boundless. Some wildflowers have medicinal properties, to ease our pain and relieve our worries. Just as we provide for the physical care and emotional well being of our loved ones. Caregivers are beautiful. We brighten the world and bring pleasure to all who are near.
